HEFN's members are funders committed to grantmaking in support of health, environment, and equity.  To become a member, please email your name, title, foundation, and contact information to hefn@hefn.org.

Most HEFN members are staff and trustees of private, non-corporate foundations, or individual donors.  Other funders sharing the values and objectives of HEFN’s membership may be considered for membership on a case-by-case basis.   

There are no mandatory dues, but HEFN asks its members to contribute voluntary dues or general support.  Funders participating in HEFN collaboratives or working groups provide financial support to cover those activities.

Members receive:

• Regular email updates on: the state of the field; new science discoveries; events; and new web resources.
• Invitations to participate in HEFN's funder-only conference call series on issues, strategies, and opportunities of high interest.
• Invitations to participate in HEFN's funder collaboratives, including the Catalysts for a Healthy Future, the working group on women, health and the environment, the working group on environmental health and environmental justice, and HEFN-CA.
  
• Invitations to join us at funder meetings around the country.
• Access to funder-only resources on the HEFN website.
