She took seven years off from the business world to be with her young children full time. The people on the ground: the activists, journalists, researchers and others who give their heart and soul to effect change in the environmental health and justice field. Whether it is the activist who improved working conditions in nail salons or the journalist who risked his career to expose the use of toxic flame retardants, these amazing people inspire me to further their causes and make a difference in the environmental health and justice world.
I love that in some small way, my work is helping people to lead healthier, happier lives. I love working with my HEFN colleagues. We truly function as cohesive team, where everyone supports and elevates each other. I love that I learn new things every day. And I love that I have many interesting and varied responsibilities, so there is never a dull moment!
Working out at the gym, playing tennis, taking dance exercise classes, reading or trying not to frustrate my two teenage kids.
