Grantmaking on Environmental Health and Environmental Justice in California

Landing page for HEFN-California.

Foundations concerned about the health of California communities and ecosystems are connecting and collaborating through the HEFN California Working Group

Funders and donors are investing in environmental health and environmental justice efforts in California for diverse reasons, including:

  • To support California communities in addressing health, environmental, and equity concerns linked to environmental hazards.
  • To build broad-based support for California policies addressing environmental health and environmental justice concerns such as chemicals policy, cumulative impacts, land use, climate change, environmental justice, clean air and water, and healthy housing.
  • To connect California advocates for environmental health and justice with their national and international counterparts.
