- The 11th Hour Project’s Climate and Energy Program is looking to fund solutions-oriented communications activities. This Request for Proposals is open to any non-profit organization that is not currently a grantee of the 11th Hour Project. Submissions are due May 31.
- Call for Applicants - Retreat: Building Equity and Alignment Across the Environmental Movement
- Environmental and social justice movement leaders are invited to apply to participate in a retreat for the “Council for 16,000” initiative, hosted and supported by The Overbrook Foundation. The retreat is from July 8 - 11, 2013 at the Wingspread Retreat Center in Racine, Wisconsin. The purpose is to discuss values and needs throughout the environmental movement and strategies to make it more aligned, cohesive, inclusive and equitable. Applications are due May 10, 2013.
- Web and Communications Outreach Coordinator
- The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA), a non-profit membership organization comprised of over 200 foundations from across North America and overseas, is seeking a Web and Communications Outreach Coordinator. The individual will be an online organizer for EGA, streamlining communications across the organization, using technology to implement new strategic approaches to engaging EGA membership with the organization's new website, programs and communications. The individual will also provide ample administrative support while organizing the membership virtually and at events. - TEDX's Critical Windows of Development Website Tool Has Been Updated
- In this major update, the Endocrine Disruption Exchange (TEDX) has added nearly 100 events to its timeline of human development and added 200 new scientific findings for BPA, phthalates, chlorpyrifos and dioxin.
- The Funders' Network (TFN) Site Visit to Buffalo, NY
- This site visit will explore initiatives blending green, health, community and economic development. Participants will learn about the diverse and dynamic community building, community development, and economic redevelopment work underway in Buffalo. It will also explore strategies such as investing in smart growth principles; protecting water resources, waterfront, and habitat; and increasing diversity and equity in the labor force.
