Please join us for this joint HEFN and Funders Network call on women’s environmental health. This call will include a discussion of two new publications that focus on the intersection of Reproductive Justice and Environmental Justice followed by a conversation with Surina Khan, Women’s Foundation of California, author of Climate of Opportunity: Gender and Movement Building at the Intersection of Reproductive Justice and Environmental Justice and Lisa Russ of the Movement Strategy Center, which published Fertile Ground: Women Organizing at the Intersection of Environmental Justice and Reproductive Justice by Kristen Zimmerman and Vera Miao.

Surina and Lisa will give a brief background and summary of each publication.  They will then lead a discussion about the public response to the publications and ways they have been a resource to creating awareness and support for groups working at the Reproductive Justice/Environmental Justice intersection.  The call will then turn to an open discussion about ways in which these resources can used in our efforts to increase funders supporting groups working at this intersection.  The remainder of the call will provide an opportunity for participants to share updates and information.
