SUMMARY:IFIP’s Ninth Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:More than 130 participants will gather at IFIP’s 2010 Co
 nference in beautiful Tofino\, Vancouver Island\, British Columbia to 
 share and learn from each other. Our main conference sessions will be 
 held at Tin-Wis Resort\, owned by the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations and 
 named "BC Aboriginal Business of the Year" for 2008 by the British Col
 umbia Achievement Foundation and also "Strength in Marketing" award fr
 om Aboriginal Tourism Association of BC.\nPost-site visits include the
  opportunity to explore the region’s exquisite beauty and rich biolo
 gical and cultural diversity with members of the International Society
  of Ethnobiology\; or attend the May 18th meeting of Mission Related I
 nvestment (MRI) conducted by Confluence Philanthropy.\n\nIFIP’s 2010
  Conference will explore emerging trends in Indigenous Philanthropy\, 
 with a focus on coalition-building to enhance donors’ effectiveness\
 , increase grantees’ capacity\, and ensure program sustainability.
